Betting Tax

	Definition
	Betting Tax is charged under section 13 of the Finance (Supplimentary Provisions) (Amendment) Statute of the Southern Province N0.05 of 2007
	There shall be charged on
	*.	A tax shell be levied and charged on bets placed or accepted whether on cash or on credit, at any place or permises within the province on horse racing (held in Sri Lanka or abroad).
	Effect From
		1st of January, 2011
	Rates
		The rate 5% on the every bets
